Looking from the SimFlyers Airport series...

Featured Replies

I have been to several sites looking for the boxed version of airports that Simflyers released earlier in the year and can't seem to find it, not even at the SimFlyers or Avsim shop. Does anyone have an idea where I can find it? I am looking to purchase it asap. Does anybody run the SimFlyers series on a 2.8G machine and higher? If so, what kind of framerates are you getting and please tell about the kind of hardware and settings you are using and the Simflyers airports perform at max settings. Thanks,Robbie

Did you try http://www.fscentral.com/SimMarket.comJustflight.comWith that kind of system you should be fine I run a P3 1GHZ and I get 10fps at LAX with AI @ 100%.John [email protected]

Thanks John,What scenery density do you use, and how do you keep the rest of your sliders using the SimFlyers product?

Here are my settings in FS.1. No SF static planes used (I use 100% AI)2. I turn off building shadows3. Turn off aircraft shadows (with 30+ AI planes this can kill fps)4. Turn auto gen down 1 notch5. Max visb to 60nm's6. Set clouds to 50% (again a big FPS killer)7. Turn off dynamic scenery8. Depending on location I some times turn off reflections again with 30+ AI planes with reflections that can tax your system.Other than that all sliders set to the right, on average at LAX and DFW I get about 10fps on final and on the ramp durning peak times of heavy AI traffic (over 40 AI planes) I dip to 8-9fps (have never hit below).I use the Ariane Gmax 737 and the DF 737 panel for flying. My setupP3 1GHZ512Mb Ram PC 133ASUS CUSL-2 Mobo 133 BusG4 64MB AGPSB LiveWin98SE (no updates)FS2002 and scenery installed on my D: drive (my OS on C:)[email protected]

Thanks a lot John. I just ordered SimFlyers World Airports from Flight Sim Central. I made up my mind for the SimFlyers version after what I had read on this site about SimFlyers vs. the New Wilco product.
