July 14, 200421 yr Sorry if this has been covered in the forum, but I was unable to get the search engine to work properly. I have just purchased a Maxtor 160GB external hard drive. Will be reformatting my current main drive a Maxtor 40GB and reinstalling Windows XP Home. Would like to switch over to the newer and faster NTFS from the FAT32 I have been using for years. The question is will the apppoximatly 12GB of backup flight simulation and other files work when transfered off my current backup drive which is a Maxtor 30GB FAT32 slave setup? Will I have to stay with a FAT32 system if I wish to use these backup files? Any help or suggestions appreciated. Tried to search out the answer before posting but unable...... Thanks JayDub
July 14, 200421 yr Yes, the files should transfer no problem. But you might as well convert both drives to NTFS.Allcott
