I currently have 512MB DDR PC2700 in my system. I just realized that I have an extra stick of 512MB DDR PC2100 lying around, and am considering installing it (getting mildly jerky performance in FS2004 running a P4 2.4GHz) to have 1GB total, running at PC2100.So, the question is, is 1GB of RAM running at 2100 better than 512MB running at 2700?Thanks,Ken

Hi Ken,I would think that it would be better to have the 1 gig. PC2100 is much faster than having to access your harddrive.Den

It all depends on the RAM buss speed. What does your MOBO manual say about RAM speeds. You could try plugging in the stick and see if you start seeing reboots, even at the BIOS level. If so, then the RAM buss speed is too high for the 2100 stick. If everything runs fine, you might see an improvement.W. Sieffert
