September 13, 200421 yr I am now unable to print any flight plan created in FS9. I never had this problem in the past. My printer is working well, and I am able to print other areas of FS9 such as the help topics. My problem seems to have begun when I tried to print an FS9 flight plan while I was running my 737NG (PMDG) sim software.Any ideas or help would be most appreciated. Would reloading the FS9 cfg file help? Thanks.Stanner
September 14, 200421 yr Open Windows Explorer, Tools, Folder Options, File types tab, arrow down to HTM, press the Advanced button. In the options box you may have Print and printto, depending if you have MS Office installed. Select the Print, printto, and Edit button:Print:Action: &PrintApplication used to perform action: "drive:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOfficemsohtmed.exe" /p %1 - change "drive" to the diskdrive were MS Office resides.Use DDE: ENABLEDDDE Message: blankApplication: msohtmedDDE Application Not Running: blankTopic: Systemprintto:Action: printtoApplication used to perform action: rundll32.exe drive:WINDOWSSystem32mshtml.dll,PrintHTML "%1" "%2" "%3" "%4" -change "drive" to the diskdrive were Windows resides.Use DDE: ENABLEDDDE Message: blankApplication: mshtmlDDE Application Not Running: blankTopic: SystemOK the changes and see if the problem is corrected. If you don't have these entries, then use the New button to add the information.W. Sieffert Bill Sieffert
September 14, 200421 yr To W. SieffertI do not have MS Office, and I have one hard drive only. Does this mean that I should use your "printto" suggestion? What specifically do you think is wrong, and what am I doing to correct it by using your suggestion.Thanks.Stanner
September 15, 200421 yr If you don't have MS Office, I would use Print vice printto. All you are doing is setting upd htm (html) to print from your computer. I assume from your question, you don't have Print or printto in your selection box.I believe the default without MS Office is Print and if you install MS Office, it modifies this selection so the MS Office's printing dll takes priority.W. September 15, 200421 yr I went on the Win98 side of my dual boot Win98SE/WinXP Pro computer. The Win98 side doesn't have MS Office installed.Win98 has a little different menu screens than WinXP but generally the information is the same. Open Windows Explorer, Tools, File Types, select HTML Document, select Edit:Print:rundll32.exe C:WINDOWSSystem32mshtml.dll,PrintHTML "%1"Use DDE - not checkedprintto:rundll32.exe C:WINDOWSSystem32mshtml.dll,PrintHTML "%1" "%2" "%3" "%4"Use DDE - not checkedIf you are using WinXP, the above should still work, just follow the instructions in my first post above. If it still doesn't work, try checking the Use DDE box to see if it makes any difference.Print:Action: &PrintApplication used to perform action: rundll32.exe drive:WINDOWSSystem32mshtml.dll,PrintHTML "%1" - change "drive" to the diskdrive were Windows resides, usually C:.Use DDE: ENABLEDDDE Message: blankApplication: mshtmlDDE Application Not Running: blankTopic: Systemprintto:Action: printtoApplication used to perform action: rundll32.exe drive:WINDOWSSystem32mshtml.dll,PrintHTML "%1" "%2" "%3" "%4" -change "drive" to the diskdrive were Windows resides, usually C:.Use DDE: ENABLEDDDE Message: blankApplication: mshtmlDDE Application Not Running: blankTopic: SystemW.
