g2d errors

Featured Replies

g2d and g3d type errorsSuddenly I am starting to get lots of g2d and g3d type errors. These occur after flying for about 10 minutes or so.Any ideas what causes this???Thanks,

These errors are related to graphics. I would first run the DirectX Diagnostics tests by pressing Start, Run..., type dxdiag, OK. Let the diagnostic stabilize, ensure you are using DirectX9.0b or 9.0c. Select the Display tab, ensure DirectDraw, Direct3D, and AGP Accelerations are enabled. If any are grayed-out, install or reinstall updated drivers for your motherboard (MOBO) controller chips, i.e., Intel, VIA, SiS, AMD, ALi, NForce. Run the DirectDraw and Direct3D tests and note any errors. If the tests run satisfactorily, check to ensure any fans on your graphics card, chips, are clean and rotating. Check all the CPU and case fans also.If the problem started recently, have you installed any addon scenery, such as, AFCAD, mesh, updated airport files. If so, either remove those files if in the Addon SceneryScenery folder or disable them in their separate folders in the Scenery Library listings. Restart FS2004, and see if the problem is corrected.W. Sieffert
