Amd FX55, 2 gb of corsair 3200 pro memory, two sata 76.7 gb drives (10000rpm) by raptor raid 0, ati x800 xt platinum edition. And off course a 24" sony crt flat screen. Monitor alone was 1.3k, but Im sure its well worth it..Hopefully I will now be able to run flight sim without too much problem. If anyone has a similar system please post your fps you get with for example a pmdg 737, ultimate traffic, active sky, with dense scenery like in NY.. THANKS ALOT CANT WAIT

OK - so is it drug dealing or trust fund?;-)That's a nice rig you are setting up!!! Hopefully you notive a nice improvement in the sim performance. If anything, that LCD monitor will just simply ooze beauty when watching any DVD's or whatnot. Good luck!!-Greg

I also just ordered pretty much the same system except for I will have the P4 3.6 processor. I just don't know what to do for a monitor. I want to spend less than $1000. Sounds like a great system! Let us know how it runs FS9 when its all done. Im sure it will be a nice improvment.I just ordered a P4 3.6, 1 gig of Corsair DDR2, and an Geforce 6800 GT (PCI-E), and and Asus P5AD2 Premium MB. So, far the only one ive received is the motherboard. The rest should arrive later this week.Rob

The monitor is in perfect shape not even a single scratch, came with a 1 year warranty,, flight sim looks awesome, I was expecting a little bit better frame rates but overall im happy..Example: approach to klga with the laguardia scenery for fs2004 i downloaded at avsim plus ultimate traffic at 98%, usa roads, real world weather from active sky with a scattered layer ,using fsw high perf clouds, and in the ariane 737-900ng vce flying using the virtual cockpit I was getting around 25-30fps on approach to rnwy 4, everything else maxed out except water detail none. But like other places like TNCM (st marten) Ill get like 50 fps in the vc on the ground with a good deal of clouds...
