USB Conflict

Featured Replies

At the bottom of the list you should see Univeral Serial Bus Controllers. Under the USB Controllers you should also have USB Root and USB Host Controller. If not, check to see if you have a combined motherboard driver for the various peripherals, Intel, VIA, etc.If the above is installed, your problem may be that whatever you have plugged into the USB is not recognized by your system. Try unplugging everything from your USB plugs, reboot your computer and see if you still have the entry in device manager. If not, start plugging in your USB peripheral until it causes the entry. Once you find the entry, you will need the driver for that peripheral. If the entry isn't removed when you have all the USB plugs removed, delete the entry from Device Manager, reboot your computer, and see if it can find new hardware attached. If after rebooting the entry is gone, then try plugging peripherals into the USB ports until the entry occurs. Install the drivers for the offending peripheral.W. Sieffert
