I was flying around the keys in Florida and saw this line in the screen then found out it was a rope of some sort with a small blimp going about 15,000 feet up. Does anyone know what this thing is?Thanks

Hey Jason! It could be the Weather balloon or the NAVY recognaissance balloon off of Key West. Which island were you flying around - do you remember?Sincerely,Dennis D. Mullerthttp://www.aavirtual.com/images/aav205_banner.gif[/img]

Here is the information that I have It is on the north end of the Cudjoe key. There is a small airport on summerland key (X20). If you take runway heading 301 you should see it. The nearest military base around is 14 miles. Key West NAS Boca Chica Field. Thanks

I have seen same balloon on final approach to RJAA Tokyo Narita runway 16R about 10nm off the runway.Official FAA explanation: ..."It was just a weather balloon" :-ufo2 Jani

I have made a sighting of the same thing also, near Cabo Rojo on the SW corner of Puerto Rico.Ted

Anyone seen this on EZ-landmark or EZ VFR? Thanks

I looked into Streets And Trips and found that the area that the pole is in belongs to the Cujoe key Airforce siteThanks
