Geforce 6800 Drivers

Featured Replies

Can anybody tell me which are the best drivers for the Geforce 6800 Ultra, I am using the Gainward drivers ~ expert tool 66.97.Thanks and Best Wishes,ChrisEGBB, UK level D B767-336 ER

I don't have that card, but as with most new cards, the newest drivers are normally the best.

Many thanks Kurt, but unfortunately not. The 56.64 Drivers were the best drivers for the 5950, everyting else seemed a step backwards.Best Wishes,Chris

I'm using the 66.81s with my 6800GT. Many people also seem to like the 67.02/67.03 as well.Give each of those a try and see which ones suit you best.:)

Thanks Shane, I ve tried these the 66.97 seems better regarding FPS up at least 15%. and less shimmering.Best Wishes,Chris

Np!Remember one thing though about the latest beta drivers if you try them (71.xx, etc..), they seem to have a temperature bug in them. For some reason they set the cards default temperature at about 10-15 degrees hotter then the 6x.xx series of drivers. This may be why Nvidia hasn't had an official driver release since last year.Just a note. ;)
