I've posted before i no one answered so here is my question again:I want to get steady (25-30fps) when flying PMDG737 and heavy weather , can i achieve this by changing my videocard toHSI 9600XT 256MBOR XFX geforce6600 256mbis there a big difference bet. 128 and 256mb versions?Which is better???My sys specs:P4 3GHZ MSI GEFORCE 5200 128MB512MB DDR333 RAMSMSI NEO-2P MOTHERBOARDThanks

Hi, to be honest with you, I wouldn't get any of the 3 for heavy weather and 1280x. A card which does fairly well w/ weather and 1280x is the 9800pro. The 9600 does well upto 1024x (just my HO). Perhaps check this link for Ati GPU specs: http://www.rojakpot.com/default.aspx?locat...&var1=88&var2=0If you scroll to the bottom, you'll find a link for a similar list with Nvidia GPUs. Hope this adds to thoughts, good luck and kind regards Jaap

Hi John, I don't know too much about the capabilities of 6600GTs, but their specs are very close to the good old GF4 series. AFAIK, the 6600GT will outperform a 9800pro with Doom and some other games, but IMHO not with FS. The clouds continue to 'kill' that range of Geforces when using high levels of AA. Here are two recent posts which tend to confirm this: http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...=7503&mode=fullhttp://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...=7320&mode=full (post nr.5) Personally, I find that Atis have a higher tendency to shimmer but they don't have troubles with mucho clouds. With Geforces it appears to be the other way around. Case you can substantiate your comment, I'ld obviously stand corrected. Good luck and kind regards Jaap
