Weird sudden performance problems

Hi there, just recently I've been getting some very drastic performance decreases in FS9. Usually I get pretty stable 27 - 30 FPS with sliders almost max with the exeption of AI.Long story short. Now I get 10 - 15, sometimes going down to 4 -7. I did my first uninstall of MSFS in years, checked for viruses (avast latest def. file) and ran spybot to see whats going on - nothing found. I run from a clean boot and even fsautostart didn't make a change. What's bothering me is that with default Cessna I get good performance but as soon as I load Level-D or Aeroworx I get the drastic decrease. Sometimes changing from bilinear to trilinear helps but only for a few seconds.BTW, I'm also getting a lot of HD access during sim sessions. My page file is managed by WinXP home with SP2.Is possibly one of my memory sticks bad, or even my videocard. If anyone knows any good spyware-less freeware to check my system, or any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance,Petehttp://members.aol.com/pzsoulman/myhomepage/logo.gifAMD64-3400,1GB/2700DDRAM,WinXP(SP2),DirectX9.0c,Geforce6800(128MB)(Det.71.89), CH Yoke/Pedals

Microsoft Anti-Spyware works very well and offers real time protection. I would run the spyware scan first as well as a virus scan before you jump to the conclusion it's hardware related.
