Hi Dave,It's not that I don't want to be helpful but I really can't say without knowing your exact motherboard and even then, I'd have to go on the ASUS Web site to check so it might be easier if you just did it yourself. Go here:http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/cpusupp...SLanguage=en-usSelect the motherboard that you have and it'll tell you which CPUs are supported. In some cases, a BIOS flash may be required.Judging from your current CPU, it is unlikely a significantly faster CPU would work with your motherboard. I'd suggest upgrading both your motherboard and CPU at the same time.Hope this helps.Edwin

The best CPU is always the CPU that gives you the best "bang for the buck". In your case, I would go for an Athlon 64 3200+ or better, which is now available as OEM version for as little as $130. However you would need another mainboard to accomodate the new socket.Good luck!

Probably the fastest CPU right now for FS would be the AMD FX57. The best bang for the buck would be the AMD64 4000 for less than $400.00. You will need to change the mobo and I really thinking about going with a larger power supply unless your already running 500 watts or more.David
