November 21, 200223 yr As the sim opens, the pilot is looking forward, but he sees out the right hand window. He ties other views, but to no avail. Moving to virtual view, his head spins like a top, panning 360 degrees without stopping. Quickly moving to tower view, all is normal. Finally,in spot view, he swoops and dives round and round the aircraft. Can any of you detectives solve this case? Clues: The two components of Active Camera have been removed, Sky World SE is un-installed (hopefully all components), and the sim has been made to create a new config file. Thanks in advance.

November 22, 200223 yr Does it stop when you disable the joystick/yoke?RobertVAFlightAdventures.com crew
November 22, 200223 yr No,it continued with the joystick unplugged, and with it plugged back in. Noticed about a 1 second view of the panel with it unplugged, then back to the right side view. Only side view etc when sick re-connected.
November 25, 200223 yr To (partially) resove this mystery, I brought in a special investigator(my son). He determined that the sim was seeing multiple USB controllers, although I only have the one control stick and the rudder pedals are the gameport type. By deleting all presets for two of the three USB devices, normality was restored. Case closed! But, you say, what caused it? Well, we think that causing the sim to write new config files had it assigning new presets to imaginary devices, but exactly why it began this strange behavior, aah there's some things man wasn't meant to tamper with.JimL
