I actually have your top choice. With it I have a Radeon x800pro video card and 1 gig of pc3200. With this system I am driving a 23" Apple Cinema monitor at a screen resolution of 1920x1200. I lock at 25 FPS and it runs great. Stays right around the 25 mark with no stutters. Just got the monitor. Before that I was running a regular 19" CRT at 1280x920 and it ran silky smooth. I can't speak about the second choice, but I can endorse the first.-dave
