May 14, 200620 yr Could anyone comment on this query pleasePresently run a Sony 19 inch CRT and a Sony 17 inch CRT trinitron monitor on my ati 9800 pro video card - get quite acceptable quality - frame rates target set at 25 fps and sliders 'generally' set at about halfway. Running PMDG 747-400 makes the setup 'chug' somtimes.Run both monitors at 1024 x 768 x 32I have the chance to pick up a Sony 21 inch tri..CRT monitor. Could the 9800 pro handle the 21inch/19inch combination and get acceptable results as outlined above??????Comments from anyone with experience here would be very much appreciatedHave a good dayBadbiggles2
May 14, 200620 yr Hello,I do not run ATI but in my opinion the size of the monitor has no impact on the performances. Emile EBBR Z590 Aorus Elite, i9-11900K 3.5Ghz Nvidia RTX 5070, 32 GB Mem, SSD 3 Tera , 3 monitors Win11 Pro X64 LM P3D V6.1 Little Nav Map Hifisim Nvidia 591.44
May 14, 200620 yr Emile is right, the actual size of the monitor isnt a factor with performance issues. What is however, is the resolution, refresh rate etc... By not seeing anything else about your system i.e. CPU, i wouldn't be surprised that the 74 would "chug" on your card. 9800 nowadays isnt exactly spectacular, even users with like a modern 6800 complained about not that great performance before PMDG patched it. Remember too, that with two monitors on a card you put it through its paces.
