August 7, 200619 yr Hello,This started happening not too long ago, I don't recall doing anything major just one day it started happening. First the Problem:http://images.fs2004.com/images/6443/shot1.JPGhttp://images.fs2004.com/images/6443/shot2.JPGhttp://images.fs2004.com/images/6443/shot3.JPGhttp://images.fs2004.com/images/6443/shot4.JPGWhen I don't have an extra program running such as FSPax or Squawkbox 3 or FSInn I don't get this problem obviously.System Specs:Dell XPS Gen 5P4 3.4GHz Dual Core2GB DDR2 667MHz Dual Channel RamNVidia GeForce 6800 256mbWindows XP Pro x64Direct X 9.0c if that would make a difference. Now I've tried running nothing else in the background, down to 20 processes including Flight Sim, I've tried different drivers, Omega, Nvidia Beta, Original, etc. However this only has to do with my graphics card settings, I like a high anti alias and antioscropic settings as it looks way better, when I turn them off or way down it goes away, but my graphics go to . Now I didn't used to have this problem, maybe a reformat caused it, I honestly have no idea. But my graphics card stays at a cool 45 degrees C, and my frames are locked at 30.0 and they stay solid at 30.0, very rarely do I see 29 or 28. I have also tried changing the infinity level in the task manager for FS9 to RealTime and High, still no change.I have not tried changing the PCI Latency settings though, not sure if that will do it. The only way I can fly now is if I turn down the AA, which really is unbearable for what I was used to. If anybody could please help I would be very very thankful.---------William CollierExecutive Vice PresidentSimulated Continentalhttp://simcoa.org/http://simcoa.org/indicators/897946.png
August 7, 200619 yr Do you by any chance have a black box in the aircraft selection screen? Sometimes this happens when AA/AF is set too high.
August 8, 200619 yr Hello,Use : http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/Filemon.htmlIt will trace the accessed files (you can use the filter option to reduce the amount of information by selecting the FS9 folder). This gives the possibility to find the product giving the problem.Hope it helps.
