I had a curious thing happened yesterday on the sim machine.Shortly after running the sim, I received a blue screen saying the system was shut down to keep from damaging the CPU. At the bottom of the screen was a statement about saving memory to disk. There was a counter running and it stopped at, I believe, disk 65 (?). That process used up most of my free hardrive space and I'm left with less than 200mb of free space.I ran all the clean-up tools but still no luck in restoring the free space. I looked in the defrag program and there is a lot of green, unmoveable, space. It appears something happened to the system which caused a program to write files to the hardrive. They are not visible in WinXP Explorer.Without reformatting drive C and reloading WinXP, any idea how to delete those files?Regards,Richard

Thats a good program to start looking indeed, but eh Emile arent you mistaking it for Drivercleaner to use with changing drivers?

Did some research at MS online. Problem solved.Apparently a hidden file was created called memory.dmp. This is a crash dump memory file. I enabled view hidden files in the Explorer Folder / Options. Did a search for *.dmp and found the file in the root directory. It was over 700mb.Deleted it. Then opened System Files / Advanced / Settings under Startup and Recovery. In Write Debugging information list, I changed to Small Memory Dump (64kb). Future dump files won't take up all my free harddive space.Richard

Hello,When I update my Video driver I use Drivercleaner in safe mode and afterwards I use CCleaner to remove useless files and correct some issues. It did help me a lot to avoid problems.
