September 20, 200619 yr Commercial Member Hello All!http://www.ixbt.com/peripheral/thrustmaste...feedback-k1.jpgThis is the AfterBurner Force Feedback joystick by Thrustmaster...I was tinkering around the .NET to know more about it, in case to buy one... for around $90 i can get one, and seems an excellent successor for my old MS Force Feedback 1 joystick. Yes version 1 gemeport FFB joystick is enduring here from old FS2000 times!! It has been a very good companion giving only minor glitches, but now the trigger button is giving up the ghost and FFB mechanism is starting to have a too large play... so it's completely dead for a short movement then "Clack!" as sudenly as the motor slider touches the stick... ( I know how it works as I had 2 one time . One broke and I got another one by warranty... then repaired the old one...needed to disassemble it completely...) and it appears that there is some problem with the DC transformer, a false contact causing "pulse" force feedback...! If I move the DC plug it gets back to normal...I was looking for this new one, that with the deatachable throttle it looks superb, but:I heard around this forum (only in one post) that FFB won't work with FS2004... is this true? The throttle is deatachable in the sense that i can take it and move it where I want or if I remove it it's inoperative? meaning i can place the stick on the right of the keyboard and the throttle to the other side...? (Well, if I can't use the throttle de-attached I guess I will auto-construct a connection cable myself..!!)Has anyone of you tried this thingy out? It looks great but I want to know if it works before buying! So far i have found it on internet stores and I think I can't give it back... but since a "Try Before You Buy" with hardware is impossible... I was looking for your opinion about!Thank you!
