I currently have an Intel 540J 800 FSB 3.2GHx HT running on my Asus P5P800 with LGA775 socket and 865PE chipset. Oh yes, 2GB of PC3200 and ATI X850XT AGPx8 256MB.I am thinking of upgrading the CPU. Checking the ASUS website for a list of supported CPUs I came accross these possible upgrades :-P4-561 3.6GHz 800 FSB L2 1MB-P4-570J 3.8GHz 800 FSB HT-P4-660 3.6GHz E 800 FSB L2:2MB EM64T, HT-P4-670 3.8GHz 800 FSB L2:2MBShould I bother ? Would I see a noticeable improvement in performance ?Thanks for any suggestions...:-)

Maybe some food for thought... IF that system right now serves you well, why not run that a little while longer. Later upgrade the whole bunch to maybe a C2D and PCIe DX10 GPU.. That i think would give you better performance since right now your still running the old (still decent) AGP bus.
