Video Card Help

I want to upgrade my current video card, the BFG Tech GeForce 7800GTX 256MB to a 512MB card because I believe it will help with loading ground scenery and stutters. I am looking on new egg and I am interested in the eVGA GeForce 7950GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 KO Superclocked Video Card. I do not want to get the 8800 series because it just came out and the sky high price will drop later. (Bought 7800GTX for $520, lesson learned!) Is the ATI equivalent of the 7950GT better for FS9? Just trying to make sure before I make the decision.
