Flying The Maddog 2006....
The MD80 is a variant of the DC9. Not a difficult airplane to slow down at all. The plane should slow to 200 pretty easily with just slats. There's a saying among airline pilots that if you can see the runway on a DC9/MD80, you can land on it. Now the 737, which has a very clean wing, is difficult to slow down.

Major misstep again by Wilco/feelThere!!!
I don't even know what the OP is talking about when he says the length is incorrect. Wilco's only offering the 170/190, not the 175/195. Unless he complaining that the put a paint on a 190 when in reality that airline only has a 195, which is sort of a pointless complaint. Im sure Level D has a continental paint lol. MARCUS

Major misstep again by Wilco/feelThere!!!
The preview screenshots on the wilco website look fantastic. I believe this package will be as go as or better than the Legacy. They have a good track record with the Embraer series so I'll be purchasing.

How to estimate rate of descent for visual approach?
Backing up with the ILS is a good idea, if the runway has one. My first ever approach in the ATR flying passengers was a pure visual. I use the same technique I used in every plane i've flown. Pick a spot where I want to land and keep that spot in the same place in the windshield. Don't left it slide up or down. Your problems are not uncommon at all, especially in the real world. Visual approaches are one of the biggest training issues on IOE.

Goodbye Skybus!
Skybus shuts down, cancels all flightsFriday, April 4, 2008 8:20 PMBy Marla Matzer RoseTHE COLUMBUS DISPATCHhttp://www.dispatch.com/live/content...4/skybust.htmlSkybus Airlines, a Columbus carrier that excited central Ohio travelers with its $10 fares, is calling it quits. The news came quickly today, with the airline announcing at 9:30 p.m. that it will no longer be in business Saturday. After today, all flights are canceled. Those holding tickets for future flights are advised to contact their credit card companies about obtaining refunds.Skybus is not providing alternate transportation. Those who purchased trip insurance within the last month should make any claims through the Skybus insurance provider, AIG TravelGuard. The policy that went into effect in early March covers airline-caused cancellations; the previous policy did not.As of today, Skybus was making 80 daily flights to 15 cities around the U.S. It made its first flight from its home base at Port Columbus on May 22 of last year and opened a second base in Greensboro, N.C. in January.Skybus has approximately 450 employees. Of those, 350 are based in Columbus, with the remainder in Greensboro.

The MADDOG 2006 2.1 a couple of question
I've jumpsat in the Maddog cockpit before. Those guys work HARD. The gauges are just sprayed all over the place in an illogical order. The Delta 88 Before Start Checklist is the longest checklist in the airline industry! The FO is reaching all over the place completing the checklist. One 757 FO i talked to said he flew the maddog for 3 years but it felt like 10. The 767 and ATR are much less complex. The ATR is pretty easy once you understand what the heck is going on. Its still hard to operate the ATR by yourself in FS. The 767 is so automated its easy to fly it by yourself. Plus you can assign button commands unlike the ATR.

Video Card Help
I want to upgrade my current video card, the BFG Tech GeForce 7800GTX 256MB to a 512MB card because I believe it will help with loading ground scenery and stutters. I am looking on new egg and I am interested in the eVGA GeForce 7950GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 KO Superclocked Video Card. I do not want to get the 8800 series because it just came out and the sky high price will drop later. (Bought 7800GTX for $520, lesson learned!) Is the ATI equivalent of the 7950GT better for FS9? Just trying to make sure before I make the decision. Here is my system specs:AMD Athlon 64 4000+ ASUS A8N-SLI Premium Socket 939 Antec TRUEPOWERII TPII-550 ATX12V 550W Power SupplyCORSAIR ValueSelect 2GB (4 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200)Western Digital Caviar SE16 320GB 7200 RPM SATABFG Tech BFGR78256GTXOC GeForce 7800GTX 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic 7.1 Channels PCI Interface Sound Microsoft Windows XP Professional With SP2Thanks!Marcus

Flight1 C172 and Reality XP
>Hi guys,>I just purchased the Flight 1 C172 last week, and I was>looking into getting the RXP FLT gauges.>>How is the performance using the FLT gauges? >do they work in both 2D and the Virtual panel?>>Thanks>-PaulThere is a small hit on my rig from the 430XP but other than that normal frames. The FLT are much much smoother than the default F1 172 gauges. Sorry I have no clue how to remove the virtual cockpit. Good luck!MARCUS

Flight1 C172 and Reality XP
Just put the RXP FLT gauges into my F1 172 along with 2 Garmin 430XP using a retrofit by Erik Fjellstedt and all I got to say is wow! It transformed an excellent plane into an exceptional plane. I never new RXP is that smooth. This is going to really help me prep for my instrument checkride this weekend. Highly recommend to anyone that has the F1 C172. If you dont have it, run and go get it!Cheers!Marcus

AI Traffic
You have to put them in manually. It takes ALOT of time and effort to get your AI looking like most. You can go to www.world-of-ai.com and get a start on several airlines. I believe the flightsim community should get together and make a website where users can post aircraft repaint folders along with the traffic.bgl like ulitmate GA does. We have enough people in this community to have at least one person work on each airline in the world. If this is done we could have our sim full of every airline in the world with high quality models. I have a pretty good amount of ai and it has taken over a year for me to get where I am today!MARCUS
