  1. When I worked at Delta as a ramp agent, the jets would pull into the gate, shut down their engines, APU would be running, we'd then connect ground power. Once the pilots confirmed good groundpower, then the APU would be shutdown, unless maybe it was a quick turn. Ground air was only used if the APU couldn't supply bleed air. We do the similar thing in the C-130 (unless there isn't any ground power).
  2. When reversing is used in the C-130, we have to wait until the nosewheels are on the ground. But, if you look, you can find many airliners with their thrust reversers deployed prior to nose touchdown.
  3. Just for fun, what's your favorite twin engine T-tail airliner and why? I love the Maddog, first commercial airliner I rememember flying on (Delta) and first that I worked on as a ramp agent (Delta again). Love the DC-9 but the MD-80 takes it further. I think it's a great looking jet that has some great sounding engines. I heard from a fellow pilot who flew AA MD-80s for a short while that he despised them and that it seemed like the cockpit was just a hodgepodge of different equipment thrown together. Maybe so. I guess the Fokker F-100 left a great impression on him (he only had great things to say about the F-100). What do you think?
  4. It's hard to pick just one, ain't it? So many decisions.
  5. If you had to choose one aircraft in FS to fly, what would it be? Ok, I know we could have as many as our systems permit, but if you had to pick one, which one would be the aircraft you absolutely love and enjoy flying over and over? It's hard, I know, but I think I would choose dreamfleet's 727. Gotta go with a classic aircraft that is fully simulated.
  6. Is the red beacon on the top fuselage supposed to be a rotating beacon? If so, I have a pretty good effect that simulates rotating beacons.
  7. Alex,I just replied to your post in the screenshots forum. I too tried the merge but couldn't get depicted N1 provided by the FADEC on the EICAS. So I'm just using the Feelthere airfile and panel with the posky model, which I think is a terrific combo. Now if only that fix for the sound file would be released. Keep us posted on your progress if your going to try to use the posky airfile.
  8. First you need Lago's F-16. Then, copy this://////////////////////////AutoFlaps///////////////////////[VCockpit12]size_mm=512, 256pixel_size=1024,1024texture=$ls_clusterbackground_color=0,0,0visible=0gauge00=Lago_F16!calculator,0,0,1,1 ...behind the last Vcockpit section of Kirks F-16 (double check the vcockpit number so it doesn't skip a number or so you don't have double entries). You do not have to change the original flap section in Kirk's F-16!I would suggest you replace some of the vc gauges from Kirk's F-16 with those of the Lago F-16 (just insert the Lago gauge name in the place of the gauge you are swapping out). Also, I would suggest you copy from the Lago F-16 aircraft.cfg the fuel, electrical, radio, autopilot, and hydraulic sections and paste them over the respective section in Kirk's F-16 aircrat.cfg.Of course you would replace the 2D panel section of Kirk's panel with that of Lago's!It took a bit to figure out what controlled the flaps, but it works!
  9. No, I'm not a POL guy. But I operate something that uses fuel :)
  10. Has anyone been able to simulate this feature in Kirk Olsson's F-16. I've merged the Lago panel to Kirk's jet, but can't get the flaps to automatically extend or retract. Any ideas? Thanks!

    Kudos to the whole team!
  12. I just realized that. The Overland model has the beacon lights modelled on the fuselage whereas the CLS doesn't.
  13. CLS A340-600 or Overland A340-600?
  14. Well, I found out that you have to multiply the numbers found in the light section by .305 to get the correct placement within the .fx file. Overall, I'm glad I got it to work and now am enjoying some of my military hardware even more!
  15. Here's what I found out. You don't need a "base" in the effects file. If you put 0.00, 0.00, 0.00 in the light section for the placement, it won't work, you have to put in 0.01 to get the lights in their position. Although I used the same locations taken from the light section of the aircraft.cfg, it appears that in the effects file the numbers have to be scaled down. This last part is what I'm working on.
