Hello all, I am looking to get a new motherboard. It needs to be SLI compatible, and support Core 2 Duo. I prefer Nvidia chipset, but if the reviews are good, I will take a Intel. Can anyone please help me?? Thanks

I like Asus, Abit and MSI brand boards.

If I were you I would wait to by a motherboard based on the new Nvida 680i chipset because there are some serious harddisk problems arising (see http://enthusiast.hardocp.com/article.html...50aHVzaWFzdA==)For a mainstream motherboard, the Intel P965 chipset is doing great, especially for cheap overclocking. The higher-end P975 is good aswell, but pretty expensive. Personally I wait for the new DFI motherboard, based on the RD600 chip (from ATI), this will be a huge beast.Hope this helps

If your not an OC'er just go mainstream like Abit, Asus etc... If your into OC'ing and dont mind paying that little bit extra def. go for DFI, like Toms also my pref. choice.

I also think dfi is a good choice especially for oc'ing, thanks again Davis for steering me towards it.
