March 22, 200719 yr What driver version are you using? and have you uninstalled correctly before reinstalling them? Im also running the BFG8800 and have no issues In Vista
March 22, 200719 yr Hi bud yes l`ve uninstalled the old drivers b 4 installing the new ones..when l use the say adjust the speed, hdg ect the mouse pointer is ok its white, when l move the mouse anywhere else its black. at the moment l`m flying at night, if l change it in flight now the out side view turns black, then if l go backto change again but dont change it and get out of it it ok.. very wierd. l`m useing the lastest drivers from nvidia.. Other than that the sims fine. Thanks budPaul Jones
March 24, 200719 yr Unfortuantly i cant recreate your issues..Maybe try reinsitalling the sim altogether.. That might do it for you.
March 25, 200719 yr Hi bud just posted the in the screen shot forum.. have a look. you can see the problems.looks like an vista theme problem.. might have to install xp pro and just brun it from that. thanks budwhen are the going to release the new directx l heard the next one might be 9L then 10.
March 25, 200719 yr Yeah i saw it, if reinstalling the drvivers didnt both drivers and Directx, something looks to be messed on you Vista install. No clue on the DX releases though.
March 25, 200719 yr Have you tried to Disable desktop composition in the Compatibility tab of FS9.exe? Right click on fs9.exe > Properties > Compatibility > Disable desktop composition. It might have something to do with the Aero interface, which FSX disables by default.Regards,Jim Karn
March 25, 200719 yr Oh, and try the beta drivers from nVidia here: http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_download...betadriver.htmlI have the same GPU and those drivers are stable, don't have the glitches found in the official release and perform well.Regards,Jim Karn
March 25, 200719 yr Hi jim, thanks for your reply... l will try what you said but l seemed have fixed the problem. it was in the settings where you adjust the 3d setting in nvidia. BUT l will try what you said about the desktop in pref under fs2004..again bud ThanksPaul Jones
