January 29, 200323 yr Hi everyone, I would really apreciate you help with my problem.I had no problems with the previous Dauphin, but with this one I've been having problems.I followed all the instructions provided to configure the dauphin.cfg file. My Joystick (MS SIdewinder Precision Pro)is set up correctly in it, along with the correct axis. THe problem is, when I disable the joystick and open the pedestal view, my controls go crazy. My cyclic and rudder axis become inverted. If I apply right rudder the helo yaws to the left, and if I apply foward cyclic the chopper pitches up!The Dauphin.CFG is in the a/c directory, and sincerly I dont know what else to try to fix it.Here is a copy of my dauphin.cfg (BOND HELO VERSION)cyclic_pitch=1,Y;cyclic_roll=1,X;yaw=1,rZ;collective=1,Z;null_zone_yaw=512;force_trim_release=1,BUT1;beep_trim=1,POV0;toggle_landing_gear=1,BUT7;toggle_cycl_fd=1,BUT5;toggle_cycl_fd=1,KEYB_PG_DN;toggle_coll_fd=1,BUT3;toggle_coll_fd=1,KEYB_END;toggle_coupler=1,BUT4;toggle_coupler=1,KEYB_PG_UP;toggle_ap_lane1=1,KEYB_INS;toggle_ap_lane2=1,KEYB_DEL;toggle_sas_ase=1,KEYB_ACC;go_around=1,BUT2;brakes=1,BUT6;look_back=2,BUT12;look_down=2,BUT11;look_left=2,BUT10;look_right=2,BUT9;pan_view=2,POV0;I will greatly appreciate you fellow flightsim chopper pilots help!THNXS
January 29, 200323 yr The first thing I would look at is how the joystick is setup for fs2002. Select options, settings, assignments, joystick axes tab, and review the selections. Are any of the axes reversed for normal setup? If so, then change that axis in dauphin.cfg to reverse and try flying the dauphin again to see if it fixes your problem. If none are reversed, try reversing the problem axes anyway to see if it fixes the problem. I would copy the present dauphin.cfg and then relabel it dauphin.cfg.ORG. Take the copy, rename it dauphin.cfg and make the changes to the problem axes one at a time to see if it makes a difference. January 30, 200323 yr If you look in the manual.htm, it provides all the possible combinations for your controls. I noticed that the dauphin.cfg file you attached earlier that the YAW axis is already reversed:yaw=1,rZ; - notice the "r" beside the "Z".Placing/Removing the "r" by other troublesome axes may fix your problem. January 31, 200323 yr Thanks for your help wsieffert, but I tried every combination possible with the "r" in front of the axis and it still doesnt work porperly. Im about to give up on this helicopter, it is a great model but the first edition didnt give me any problems and everything worked correctly. Thanks anyways for your time and help.
January 31, 200323 yr Just to be sure you have the cfg in the correct folder:drive:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFS2002aircraftAS365BHdauphin.cfgalong with the aircraft.cfg, dauphin.sav, dauphin.air, validate.bin?I would hate that you miss out on this version!! I hope you can sort it out! Bill Sieffert
