helicopter landing gear fs2004

If microsoft havnt fixed the 3rd party helicopter landing gear in fs2004 how will you feelAlan

Won't bother me at all.... I prefer my helos with skids or floats.-Lindy :-rotor:-wave

Hey Al, considering I use the AS365 gear fix in all my geared helis, I don't even think about it anymore. It would be nice if it was fixed, not because of the problem but to show that MS care about what we think and need.Regards, Michaelhttp://mysite.verizon.net/res052cd/mybannercva1.jpg

As good as the dauphin fix is you still have to look the helicopter sitting there doing nothing for 2 seconds as they retract. Is it only me who misses doing fast flybys and lowering the gear while I still have control of the chopper?Alan

I think it would be great if MS fixed the heli landing gear bug, the Dauphin fix is good but it would be nice if there wasn't a pause. I'd also like to see them improve VTOL .air files, as it would be nice to fly an acurate V22 or BA609.Alun

I was sent an air file for my airwolf only I cant upload it as I never heard from the guy again.Basically it a heli air file but when you press ctrl and f4 the airfile kinda swithces to a jet even the throttle (i have it reversed for helis) works like a jet (push for power) and can get to about 450kts and then if you press ctrl and f2 mabye 4 time you back to doing about 150kts, and this isnt a harrier air file either. This could probably be reworked for a tiltrotor.Alan

Now that sounds pretty interesting... I remember in FS2000, the way around helicopter autopilot was to heve 2 identical helis, one with a heli .air file and the other with a jet .air file. You took off in the heli version, then changed aircraft to the jet version... very cumbersome, and not really practical... but by the sound of this, it's all in one .air file? So no pausing/reloading? I'm very intrigued... I don't suppose theres any chance of mailing it to me, I understand if you would rather not until you can get hold of the author, however, I have to ask.:-) CheersAlunP.S. Hows your S76 coming along?

I dont have it here (im at my brothers house) but I can email it to you tonight.I havnt really worked on the s76 still waiting for reference pictures, I am hoping to upload the alouette 3 tonight but a few last minute 'head ache' starters have come up but hopefully they will be sorted out.Alan

Alan,That would be much appreciated, but as and when, theres no hurry, as I'm up to my eyeballs with GMAX and some scenery!CheersAlun
