Sikorsky S-51 sounds?

Featured Replies

I did a web search for some S-51 sounds and didn't see anything. Does anyone have a recommendation on where to get some reasonably realistic sounds for this bird? I'm tired of hearing a turbine engine in a rotary piston-powered helo...thx,Dave Blevins

System: Asus P8Z68 Deluxe/Gen3 mobo *** i7 2700K @ 5gHz w/ Corsair H80 cooler

NVidia GTX 570 OC *** 8 GB 1600 Corsair Vengeance DRAM *** CoolerMaster HAF X case

System overclocked and tuned for FSX by fs-gs.com

Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog stick/throttle & CH Products Pro Pedals

Various GoFlight panels *** PFC avionics stack

I don't seem to be able to find sound files for the S-51 either. How about second best??Try droping by www.hovercontrol.com and downloading the CH-34.... It's from the same era and has it's own sound files....Cheers//Tonni

Well, yes, but the sounds included with that Ch-34 are actually Manuel Gonzales huey sounds...

Get the sounds out of my Kamov Ka26 Hoodlum (KA-26ag.zip). The sounds are a reasonable facsimile of a 9-cyl. radial -- certainly a lot closer than those of the Jet Ranger or a Huey !!Cheers,Calhover long and prosper

There was a sound system for the s-51 releases shortly after the helicopter was. Did you try simviation?Alan

Sorry...Hadn't actually checked out the sound files themselves... Just saw it posted there and thought it worth a try.........Cheers//Tonni
