June 25, 200322 yr If they don't open in your browser (they don't in mine) you can view them this way:If you open the text files, then save them to your desktop as a .jpg file, them open them, they work fine. Somehow the extension was incorrect or corrupted. And he's right, they don't look too bad! Are you planning to upload it anywhere?URL to post he is talking about, in case they get separated:http://forums.avsim.com/dcboard.php?az=sho...g_id=2000&page=
June 26, 200322 yr Hey Tonni, the panel looks very sweet!! What 222 is it for??? If it is for the Al Devins one with the VC, doesn't the VC interior interfere with the side views???Regards, Michaelhttp://mysite.verizon.net/res052cd/mybannercva1.jpgCalVirAir International VAwww.calvirair.comCougar Mountain Helicopters & Aviationwww.cgrmtnhelos.com Best, Michael KDFW
June 26, 200322 yr Hi Mike...I have the line: See_Self=1 in the fs2002.cfg file set to: See_Self=0It removes the bits from the 3D models that show in the 2D cockpit. The change doesn't seem to intefere with the VC cockpit view....Besides.... I never use the VC view... Don't have a hat on my old stick... All the (Read 4-5) planes I use in Fs2k2 have full 2D cockpits...Cheers//Tonni
June 26, 200322 yr Hey Tonni, that is a cool deal, have not seen that fix in a freeware product, definately good for future panels with VCs.Sucks your stick doesn't have a hat switch! I used to only fly aircraft with full 2 D panels, ocasionally I would use the VC, but after getting activecamra, VCs are ALL I use, it adds so much to the experience for me!!!Regards, Michaelhttp://mysite.verizon.net/res052cd/mybannercva1.jpgCalVirAir International VAwww.calvirair.comCougar Mountain Helicopters & Aviationwww.cgrmtnhelos.com Best, Michael KDFW
June 26, 200322 yr WOW, very impressive, I like the side views, but the whole thing is brilliant any chance I can include that with my new 222UT/B?Alan
June 26, 200322 yr NEW 222???[/font size=]need a beta tester??? ;-)Regards, Michaelhttp://mysite.verizon.net/res052cd/mybannercva1.jpgCalVirAir International VAwww.calvirair.comCougar Mountain Helicopters & Aviationwww.cgrmtnhelos.com Best, Michael KDFW
June 27, 200322 yr Hi Alan...A compliment from the master himself...Thanks...Since I found your brilliant 222 I don't seem to fly anything else...My heart felt thanks to you.... It truely is a great plane to fly...I'll Try and upload the panel at Hovercontrol on Monday... Just want to make sure everyting checks out...You're welcome to use the panel for your new release...Already looking forward to it...I don't use the rear views myself but if you want a complete set of 360
June 27, 200322 yr I dont know about being a master but thank you anyway, The release time will probably be around the time of fs2004, I want to add an interactive VC and see if we have any new 'toys' to add.Im redoing my 222b with 2 variations, and a UT version in 2 variations, and im releasing airwolf and redwolf aswell.Ive had to remake the entire model again since i lost my old source files to hard drive burn out so this one is lower on frames and im gonna see about adding a LOD to it aswell.Just to verify about the panel views, when you look left or right do you see the VC when in 2d mode, if you do, there is a way around this.CheersAlan
June 27, 200322 yr oh and regarding a beta tester, id keep some time free michael, i usually test my models on mine and my brothers system but with the landing problems people had with the alouette I think testing on a third machine cant do any harm.Alan
June 30, 200322 yr Hi Alan..."Just to verify about the panel views, when you look left or right do you see the VC when in 2d mode, if you do, there is a way around this."I'm not sure whether you do or not... I think you would... Haven't tested it yet....I took the easy way out... I've set the line:See_Self=1 to: See_Self=0 in the fs2002.cfg file in the main fs2002 folder..Down side of this for some users, is that it removes the internal 2D views from ALL aircraft that don't have .BMP backgrounds in the 2D cockpit mode... Doesn't worry me as I have full 2D cockpits for the few aircraft I fly....(It's doesn't seem to affect the VC cockpit mode)If you have a 'cleaner' way of doing it, I'd appreciate some help...By the way... Just uploaded it to Hovercontrol.com... Should be ready for download shortly...If you want the other views made, let me know and I'll try and make the time to do them.....Once again... If you do have a better solution to this issue, I'd really appreciate some help....Cheers//TonniPS: Beta testers???... I'd deffinately find time for that if you need one more........
