Enroute Charts

Recommended Posts

Hello,This is the first time posting here. Glad to join the group.I've taken a look at the flight plans here and am learning how to use them and make sense out of them. First off, when a particular airway is listed, where can I find out what waypoints, etc., are included in them, not just the starting/jumping off points. Is there a website that'll "unpack" these routes, or should I just purchase High/Low Enroute Charts. If the latter, does anyone know of a good source from which to purchase them (they don't necessarily have to be brand new charts). I suppose there's an old message on this list that gives some good hints on how to decode flight plans. I know that "DCT" means "direct" (so I've been told), but there are other idiosyncratic codes that I'm scratching my head over.Another thing: I'm also looking for a site that provides SID/STAR Charts, especially for Europe and Asia. Does anyone know of any good ones? Thanks for your patience and for putting up with this first, long posting. Pretty soon I'll be asking around for some real flight plans of airlines, probably out of Hong Kong on CX mostly, since I lived there most of my life and still think of it as home (parents are still there, too).Cheers!Dalat (name of a boarding school I attended in Penang, Malaysia, for those who're wondering what that's all about)

You're right, use the search function or browse this whole board.>Another thing: I'm also looking for a site that provides >SID/STAR Charts, especially for Europe and Asia. There's a lot of stuff here, but not all:http://164.214.2.62/products/digitalaero/terminals/If you're ready to purchase something, then get FSNav (http://www.fsnavigator.com/): it has all you are looking for: customizable moving maps with high/low airways, one-way airways, FIR bndry, SID/STARs, Navaids, coastlines... with a regular (28 day AIRAC cycle) update provided by this website: http://www.navdata.at/ (you need to register, but, again, it's free).Yohann, LFLL.
