January 22, 200323 yr tocart:Thanks so much for the flight plan!Sorry, but I didn't know it was supposed to fly to YPPH? Any idea what the fp to melbourne was? Here it says melbourne: http://www.airbus.com/dynamic/media/press_releases.asp#3You can look at this picture too: http://www.airliners.net/open.file/309872/L/Also may I know what is RIF? Thank you.Regards,
January 22, 200323 yr Hi,Well, the flight plan filled by Quantas was definetlly a Toulose to Perth. RIF means Reclearance In Flight. It means that when the aircraft reaches the first point in the RIF (in this case Perth) the crew will decide if they land at the FPL destination or continue to the aerodrome mentioned in the RIF (in this case Learmonth). Usually used on long flights when the actual fuel burn off cannot be accuratly calculated.Cheers
January 24, 200323 yr Oh I see. Thanks for the clarification. Any idea why it went to Melbourne instead then? Maybe it had an RIF to Melbourne too? Thanks again.Regards,
