August 29, 200322 yr Hey everyone!I've never posted in this forum, but I've found it to be a great resource! I like to make my own routes, but I never know if my routes are allowed (due to restrictions like one-way airways and such). Could I please get these routes flown by Southwest?SWA215 KBWI-KMCISWA1026 KMCI-KSLC-KSEAI appreciate anything anyone gives! Also, I have 2 questions. Where do you all get this information? Could an enthusiast like me obtain it cheaply? Also (oops, 3 questions), I saw after doing numerous searches that there is a european site to check flight plans. Is there a site like that for the US? Thanks for all your help!-Cal

August 29, 200322 yr Thanks so much Koen and FlyerNL! You guys are awesome and quick too! Just curious (maybe slightly OT), how come Southwest flies all their planes at or close to their planes' ceiling? I know it's more efficient for fuel consumption, but then why don't other airlines like UAL or USA fly their 737s up there? Also, doesn't ATC limit flight levels a lot or are they usually pretty quick at getting planes up to their requested levels? Again, thanks a ton!-Cal
August 29, 200322 yr Hi Cal,I'm not sure about the exact reason, but it's clear that Southwest is flying their aircraft at high altitudes because of low weight. ATC doesn't limit flightlevels a lot on these routes, so that can't be the reason. Probably they take less cargo with them than airlines like UAL or USA (as I can't imagine they transport less passengers ;)).Kind regards,Koen
