January 31, 200422 yr Hi all,I registered to fbowed.com a few months ago and its a great sourse of US plans, however, I can find out the current cruise alts and speeds etc, or its inital alt and speed if its filed and not active, but how do I find out about stepclimbs/change in speeds etc?Cheers
February 1, 200422 yr Hi Iain,There are actually two ways to find out where the altitude and speed change:- Track the flight using quick/area track, and see how they change.- Look at the flightplan. For example, when you look-up LAN501 for today, you'll find this: DCT EONNS A509 URSUS UL780 MOXES UL780 VTN etc. As you see, UL780 is mentioned twice, which means there is an altitude change at MOXES. If you look at an enroute chart (or enter the fixes at http://rfinder.asalink.net/free/), you'll find out that the airway direction changes from east to west. The initial altitude was FL330, so after MOXES, it will probably fly FL350. :)Cheers,http://home.planet.nl/~duijn181/cu2/koen.jpg
