3rd party ERROR message

Recommended Posts

jerrycwo4I just installed my beloved Falcon 50 onto my new laptop and all seemed to go well until the first time i tried to fly. I got a nasty message that read: "Microsoft FS2002 was unable to load some 3rd party sofeware. You can continue using FS but your 3rd party sofeware will be disabled. GAUGESYLF50_overhead.GAU"I transfered the Falcon 50 from one computer to the laptop with a burned CD. It kept asking if I wanted to transfer a 'read only' or something like that. I didn't understand it all, althought I know that when you transfer something by CD it usually always has the "READ ONLY" checked. I tried comparing this gauge with the others that were OK but could not find any diferance in them. This gauge that didn't load correctly is the OVERHEAD PANEL (gauge) in the Falcon 50. When I click on it, the over head panel is there, but NO switches are in the panel. I have also installed the Falcon 50 to another of my networked computers throught the network system and did not have these problem. Does anyone know what my problem is and/or how it fix it? Thanks for your help.jerry

Jerry,Check two things! First check your desktop fs2002.cfg and see if you put this gauge in the &l;OLDMODULES&r; section. If so, do the same on your laptop. Next check to see if the gauge in the laptop fs2002gauges folder is set to read only by right clicking the gauge, select properties, and view status.
