Converting ICAO flight plan to FS2004

Featured Replies

does anyone now any tool do convert ICAO flight plan to FS2004?There is many ways to put the flight plan into FS2004, but I haven't discovered any utility that would actually accept route names, and follow it.I have very interesting flight plan for SIA021 (KEWR -> WSSS via Europe! it's 17h 17' long on A345), but I can't get it to FS with all the waypoints. Only something like: ELVIX DCT ROE DCT DIBED DCT SOBLO... (I know that between ROE and DIBED is REDFI, BABIK, DAR, GRU, LIN and KRASI - and it's NOT direct routing) and flying direct routes it's not the same. Looking on the map for every single intersection or VOR, would take a lot of time... :(

Thanks a lot. :)

Just to be clear.... you can enter the ICAO plan into FSBuild, but you will need to remove the altitude changes and speed changes if they are embedded in the route string.FSBuild does know the airways and will fill in all intersections.Bruce

Yes, I've already looked at www.fsbuild.com. It seems like the tool I need. Unfortunately it's not free, or even shareware (free is only version 1.4.3 which is much more simple even comparing screenshots). So... maybe some opinions about this tool? Is it worth 30EUR?
