Atlantic Crossing clearens

Featured Replies

Does sombody where to find logs on the net with atlantic crossings ?Jochem

Hi Jochem,There are various places on the web where you can look up flight info of aircraft crossing the Atlantic, but most of them give info about one subject (e.g. weather, aircraft type, registration, selcal, route...), so what exactly are you looking for?Cheers,http://home.planet.nl/~duijn181/cu2/koen.jpg

Well I was looking for the routings they get by New York OCA or another oceanic control center. For example some cooridinates intersections and airways.Regrds, JOchem

Hi Jochem,Most of the time, the actual routing is the same as the one in the flightplan. It's usually only the altitude that is changed. There are various ways for aircraft to get their oceanic clearance (and thus their route), but mostly messages like this are sent via datalink:CLA 0945 050302 EGGX CLRNCE 937COA61 CLRD TO KEWR VIA MALOTNAT BRAVOMALOT 53/20 53/30 53/40 52/50 CRONO DOTTYFM MALOT/1042 MNTN F330 M080END OF MESSAGESometimes you still hear them giving clearance over the radio, but that doesn't happen frequently nowadays.Anyway, if you want to look-up the routes yourself, I still think FBOWeb is the best option you have. There you'll be able to find most of the real world routes (which they get from various ATC centers, like London), e.g. todays COA61:DCT DENUT UL610 LAM UL179 CPT UL9 STU UN546 MASIT DCT RESNO DCT 56N020W 57N030W 57N040W 56N050W DCT SCROD DCT VALIE N242B TAFFY DCT ALB V213 SAX DCTI hope this answers your question. :)Cheers,http://home.planet.nl/~duijn181/cu2/koen.jpg

Yeah indeed i was searching for logs like this ! Ithink there have to existe some mailinglists or something with these logs like there are also a lot of lists of the acars messages. I heard some of the clrnces on hte radio. There is a live stream (New york oca) where I heard some flights like KLM, MPH, AEA, ... almost all going to the caribbean where the controller give some coordinates, intersec. and awy's.I supose for FBOWeb you have to pay ?Regards, JOchem

Hi Jochem,There are indeed a lot of lists with ACARS logs, with this one being one of the biggest: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/worldacarslogs/They usually don't include the messages though, but just a tie-up of registration and flight number. There are also a few lists which deal with communications heard on shortwave radio, but the only ones I know you've to contribute to frequently to become and stay a member...>> I supose for FBOWeb you have to pay ?Yes, a basic subscription for FBOWeb costs $9,95/month...Cheers,http://home.planet.nl/~duijn181/cu2/koen.jpg
