Real world flightplans

Hey allNew to this particular forum in Avsim, but I have a quick question for you all.I am trying to recreate an exact flight made in flightsim 04 using either the PMDG or Level D aircraft. Don't really matter from were it starts or ends, but what I am looking for is this:The actuall flightplan for a spesific flight(not that importaint which flight). Even better if I somehow could get the actuall route which was made, with the ATC directions, Rwy for landing, any diversions for weather/traffic, any holding and so on.I recon that the flightplan should be possible to get hold of, but I am wondering if one could get more detailed information? Is there e.g. some websites out there which contain such info?Any help on the subject is appriciated.

Wow! This is quite a request! As you know, the flight plan does not include the departure runway nor the arrival runway. It also does not plan for holds and deviations for weather. However, it does designate an alternate airport for landing. What you are looking for is a log between the dispatcher and the aircraft, along with the sequence of instructions given by the tower and ATC. Since such information is not readily published, I'll make some suggestions. You can monitor Tower and ATC for some airports over the Internet. There are not that many sites, but if you could find a couple of airports that are broadcast via RealAudio, you would be able to monitor the flight number and write down the take off runway, any vectors issued on departure (assuming the flight plan is not a pilot nav departure), the STAR and/or direct arrival with vectors, and the clearance to land on a specific runway.During the flight, you could go to one of the flight tracking sites and follow the progress of the flight. This would indicate any holds or deviations for weather. It would also tell you if a part of the plan was skipped with a "direct to" ATC instruction. You can get ACARS messages over the Internet. With a free ACARS client program, you can connect to private servers where people intercept the messages between the ground station and the aircraft and relay these messages onto the Internet via servers. These messages may include dispatcher comm indicating changes to the flight plan, delays at the arrival airport and expected hold procedures, METAR data, and so on. The limitation is the receivers are line of site, and there are not many of them, so the chances of having your flight pass over one are very small.Another suggestion that is far easier is to find someone that works in airline dispatch and have him or her monitor and log a single flight for you. This is your best chance of knowing exactly what happened during a flight. You'll get load out weights, off block time, wheels up time, actual route including vectors, and holds, weather info, and complete landing data along with alternate airport data. This would be a favor given to you, as this information is internal to the airline.Final idea is to take a flight (or find someone that is taking a trip) with an airline that broadcasts ATC over one of the headset channels. Take a note pad and record all of the flight events so you can recreate the flight. Then come back to this forum and request the flight plan for the exact day and flight taken. Between the flight plan and the notes, you should have the best chance of recreating the exact flight. If all of that seems like too much trouble, you could do as the rest of us on the forum do and that is become familiar with the departure and arrival airport, so you know the most likely take off and departure runways, read the NOTAMS for taxiway and runway closures, or restricted airspace. Combine that with a real flight plan and charts and you'll have a very high probability that your simulated flight will follow the real flight path. Please ask if you have further questions. There are plenty of people on this forum that can offer good advice.Bruce

Hey Bruce and thx for your extensive answer.Would you perhaps have some links to sites which can provide what you suggested? Like real ATC monitoring, flight monitoring and such?
