November 11, 200619 yr I found a flight plan EINN-KORD on flightaware and plotted it which is what the attachment is. At first i thought i thought i had done something wrong so i used other tools to plot the route and they all came out the same. Was this a mistake in the filed plan or is this how this route is normally flown? Kind of odd to go east for a while when you really want to go west.FLT PLN:SHA UN160 LND UM142 BERAD UM30 QPR UN472 LAPEX UN470 SEPAL NATE JAROM N54E TOPPS UFX NOTAP TVC PMM5
November 12, 200619 yr I can't be certain but it looks like a data error to me. I have seen flights (primarily DUB-LAX) go pretty far north, and even a little east sometimes, to hook up with a northerly track but I have never seen any trans-Atlantic flight from Shannon go via Lands End!. There is no reason I can think of why they would plan to fly this. It just doesn't make sense on SNN-ORD.
