Pigeonholes questions

Featured Replies

I have read through EPIC95, EPIC.VXD, and EPIC.INFO... about pigeonholes. I have few part that I could understand what I am doing, and there is a part I don't. For example0b00000000-----> 8 zeros is a bit numbers from bit 0-7 "diode" parts, and if 0b00011111-- that means bit 0-4 is on and 5-7 is off. The part I don't understand is based on the comparison between button/switch and the digit numbers. For Hexadecimals:0X0108----> means button nbr PH16#11, I only know some stuffs has to divide by 256, The part I don't understand is how 0X0108 can become 11? How can I understand what is in use for hexadecimal, for values and numbers can you explain me detail in a better way along with your examples? As I went through so many hours reading on manual trying to understand about the hexadecimals and the scanbit, I am trying to understand and make useful for FS2002 and beyond.

I should add, that while the above link is for the OUTPUT module, the same theories apply to the Input modules. Everything is based on a matrix with Rows/Bits
