Stepper motor: turns rather slow

I have a small stepper from a floppydrive (7.5

Are you using mechanical relays? If so, you are probably running into the physical relay transition limits. This may sound odd, but try increasing your delay to see if there's any problems with the code running too fast?Try delay(5)... See if that changes anything. If it doesn't I'd say you may need to use solid state switching components, such as Solid-state relays or triacs or something. (Although I just recently learned that using Triacs may be a bit more complex than originally thought)

I directly connected it to the output module !!!And the codes run too fast if I remove the 'delay(1)' lines. the stepper zooms, but doesnt turn. So delay(1) or timer(1) is has to go between those lines i guess..3.5 seconds for one complete turn is slowly IMHO...
