Localized weather in ActiveSky not correct?

Recommended Posts

Guest GiZBUG

Question. What I've noticed with active sky over the default FS 2004 weather is that it doesnt handle localized weather real well. By this I mean, if I take off from point a, and point b is 30 miles north of my with thunderstorms, and point a is sunny, activesky has a hard time displaying this distant weather. Flight sim's default real weather shows storm clouds in the distance, but active sky shows sunny skies until I get in the area of airport b.Is this a flaw with active sky?

Hi,Please see FS2004info.txt... wxRE does not support full localized station-based weather.. It is global wx only. 1.9 uses the localized write system but it is still only writing the same "global" data to each local station.AS2 is designed for FS2004 exclusively, and fully supports station-based weather and distant weather depiction.-Damian
