Active Radar not loading flight plans from AS2004!!

Featured Replies

I've been trying to get Active Radar working in FS9 but it doesn't seem to want to load the flight plans. I have followed the instructions/steps word for word in the AS2004 Manual, and everything goes as instructed until I go to load the flight plan in Active Radar itself. I click on the MSFS button in the PLANNING screen. It says to hit 'UPDATE ALL' to update everything, so I do....and nothing happens! The flight plan is valid, and works in AS2004 fine, but for some reason Active Radar won't do anything with it.Anyone have any tips or help for this issue?Cheers,Jeremy

I have about a 50% success rate with flight plans loading into Active Radar. I believe that it happens when you create an FS FP via an export function from a program like FSNAV. Apparently, the fix is to open the FP in FS flight planner and save it again. Hopefully the upcoming maint release will fix the radar FP load function so that it is not so fussy, well at least to be consistent with how happy the main AS2004 program is with exported FPs.Gary

Jeremy,Sorry you are having trouble. Please double check the steps:1. Design a FP in FS and save.2. Load and process the plan in AS.3. Load and process the plan in AR. Sometimes this takes awhile.See if this does it for you.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support

Please note that, at least for me, any plan saved with the FS9 flight planner will NOT load in AS2004. It loads in AR, but not AS.cz
