AS2004 & FSBuild 2.2 Questions

Featured Replies

Hi,i'm having some problems to get the correct winds aloft data imported to FSBuild:The winds aloft data FSBuild shows in the navlog for a specific waypoint does not match the values AS2004 shows (and applies to FS9) after processing my flightplan. The problem seems to be the "Route-based Wind Smoothing" option of AS2004:As soon as I uncheck this option the winds aloft data presented by AS2004 after processing my flightplan matches the FSBuild navlog values. Is there any chance to get the winds aloft data *with* the changesby the "Route-based Wind Smoothing" option applied into FSBuild? At least the possibiltiy to get the "average winds" for a processed plan with this data applied would be great.regardsjanoschP.S.: I'm using AS2004 Alpha 1 and FSBuild 2.2 (build 167).

JanoschYou might want to post this also in the fsbuild forum. (just noticed you already did)This is just an educated guess, but I am assuming that FSBuild is just reading the data that AS2004 has downloaded directly, so it displays the actual values for winds aloft.AS2004 with route based wind smoothin enabled ist doing some rather intricate calculations, that FSBuild knows nothing of. I am assuming that "fixing" this would require quite an effort of both Ernie and Damian, if it is feasible at all.Keep in mind that route based wind smoothing is not applied in AS2004 until a flight plan is loaded, so it would be rather unrealistic to expect FSBuild to be able to display the smoothed winds, since to get those winds you first need the flight plan. Anyway, that's just my $0.02 on the issueBest RegardsMax (Bern, LSZB)http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004betateam.jpg http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg
