February 29, 200422 yr I have just completed a flight from Melbourne to Cairns in the PMDG 737-700 and could hardly wait to shutdown and get on ver here to throw bucket of cold water over the naysayers - you know who you are!Clouds were as per AS2004 Metar with definite delineations between metar coverage areas - the only disappointment being interruptions by metars with no cloud details (refer earlier thread entitled 'What is the effect on AS2004).Winds were kind - varied but without the sudden violent shifts experienced earlier. As I descended into Cairns I had a partial overcast that disappeared with the new station metars coming online (again not an AS2004 problem - probably my setup). On finals AS2004 winds showed to be from 196 at 16 with gusts to 27. Guess what I got? Winds 196 at 16 with the occasional nose twitch as a wind gust hit the aircraft.Immediately on landing I checked a Metar site and it showed there to be cloud and light showers in the area. As I taxiied to the gate the weather reloaded and down came the showers. The answer is near to hand so all you naysayers get off Damians back and let him finish fixing MS c0ck up.Andy b Andy Brockbank
