DX 9 is released? I know I installed the beta version which expired on me today so I had to uninstall it. Where can I download the final/release DX 9.

Just the oposite! I know of two people who purchased CFS3 that installs DirectX 8.2 and that completly F'd up there multiplayer connections. They had nothing to lose by installing DirectX 9 and it worked magic! I'm about ready to install it myself.
