Flight planning

Featured Replies

Hi there I have just purchased ActiveSky 2004 and am very pleased with it so far. I have 1 question.Could someone explain how to import a flight into the planning utility in the weather radar display.I have a flight loaded in ActiveSky and have printed the flight log but I follow the instructions in the weather display and get the message ' new route may require update click update all to refresh ' when I click on this nothing seems to happen. If I manually load the flight plan I can't get the fix's to show up.Perhaps I am missing something.MaddonThe world is getting smaller. Hi,Is your flightplan made with FSNavigator ? If yes follow these steps :Make flightplan in FSNav - save it and Export it to FS9.In FS9: Alt - F - PLoad flightplan SAVE AND OVERWRITE the flightplan in FS9.Now you can click OK and open the flightplan in the radar of AS2004.http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004betateam.jpgPatrick/EBBR

Hi Thanks for the reply.I have already followed the above but the FP is still not showing in the weather radar. The FP is accepted in the initial Flight import stage on the main ActiveSky panel. It is the weather radar that is not picking this up.MaddonThe world is getting smaller. One step closer to the edge.

Hi here also!Didn't realize you posted 2 times. OK, you need to load, for a second time, the plan into Active Radar. It will not read the plan that you loaded into Active Sky. In AR under Planning you will click on the blue MSFP button, browse to your plan, choose it, and then click on the red Update button. Let us know if this works for you.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

Hi there I enclose a few screenshots of my problem. When using the radar I select the planning utility then select msfs which brings up a message in the 2nd screenshot. When I select Update all nothing happens. The first screenshot shows a manually entered fix ( nosda )which shows up as an airportThe third shot shows Stu vor but not showing the lat/lonGuys am I missing something.I did get around this by entering airports along the flight plan which then did show up in the radar but no fixes, Vor's or NDB's.I no this is getting long winded. If so my apologies.Maddon
