Problems during landing PLEASE!!! HELP!!!!

Featured Replies

Hello Gang!I went ahead and purchased AS2004 and I'm glad I did - it is a great enhancement to the 2004 experience. I am however, having a terrible problem and seek your wisdom and knowledge in hopes we can get it corrected. On every flight, without regard to aircraft type or weather outside, once I hit 400-300 feet agl, prior to landing, the aircraft hits a severe up and down attitude and almost loses control; the anomaly almost looks like windshear. I have been able to recover on all occassions and land safely, but this problem happens like clockwork, on every flight and at the same stage of landing and if you're shooting an ILS approach, the movements are so abrupt that it disengages the A/P and your day will turn bad in a dime.Any help is appreciated!Sincerely,Dennis D. Mullert

Sincerely,

Hi Dennis and Welcome,What you may be experiencing is wake turbulence. If you have updated to V1.1, which we hope you have, you can turn this feature off. Or you can look out for other traffic around you! See if updating AS helps this. Please post back!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

Hi Jim!Thanks for your reply!I went into the AS2004 "Options" area and disabled the "Wake Turbulence" setting. After that, I did a quick circuit around KOKC with real weather and no anomaly was experienced this time around. I'll keep my eye on the issue (which will keep me very focused on my landings), to see if it re-occurrs. As of now, that seems to have done the trick. Thanks a bunch for your help!Sincerely,Dennis D. Mullert
