almost all the time i get a timeout waiting for the initial startup for updating winds aloft. is this an active sky situation, or the source? tt

zone alarm and AVG ALWAYS.

There have been reports of ZA blocking all kinds of downloads. I would suggest working with your ZA settings.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

the problem is ONLY upper winds. and , as we saw yesterday, it was fine. just perplexing. tt

It's happening right now, and has been for at least the last hour. I use wxRE for planning my FSBuild fuel forecasts, which works rather well even though I use AS2004 while flying. My request to get 2.2 from Ernie has been ignored, which allows AS2004 to be used instead of wxRE.

OK, thanks Jim.

But the actual problem s your email is bouncing my message when I try to send it to you.You may want to check and see if your email providers size limit is, or whether they are blocking attachments.Regards.Ernie.
