December 25, 200421 yr Hi,I did a quick search using "haze" and "visibility" as keywords but cannot find the answer to my question.I have unchecked the option in Active Sky 2004 version 4.5 that enables the create haze layer for low visibilty situations but I still get a lot of foggy/haze-like environment when I'm flying with Active Sky 2004-4.5.Anything I'm missing here or any help would be appreciated?John(Happy Holidays to ALL pilots, virtual and real!) January 1, 200521 yr Author Hello Jim,Yes, I forgot to mention that I do set the minimum visibility to 5NM and maximum to whatever the default is set to (around 40-60NM I believe). Can I love flying my "iddy biddy Jumbo" CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400, socket 775/3GHz/1333MHz bus/6MB cache MOBO: Asus P5E3 Deluxe WiFi-AP@n/Intel X38 chipset RAM: 4GB Kingston HyperX 1333MHz. rated 7-7-7-20, matched pair (2 x 2GB) GRAPHICS: Sapphire Radeon 5770HD 1GB (w/ fan) MONITOR: Samsung 24", 2494HM LCD wide-screen 1920x1080 SOUND: SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS HARD DRIVES: 1xWestern Digital WD1600JD SATA 160GB (primary/Windows XP and system boot drive) 1xWestern Digital WD3200AAJS SATA2 320GB (secondary/Flight Simulator 2004 running off WinXP Pro 32-bit, games video editing drive) 1xWestern Digital 500GB Black series SATA2 (Windows 7 64-bit: FSX is running off Win7; Windows XP Professional 32-bit) CASE: Antec Sonata III 500W OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit for FSX; Windows XP Pro 32-bit for other things.
January 1, 200521 yr Hi,OK let's try this: reset FSUIPC to weather minimums and in AS set minimum to zero and maximum to 59. Save those settings and restart FS and AS.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
