January 22, 200521 yr In the manual it says at the beginning to click minimum weather defaults. Later in the manual is says to Clear All Weather. Do both buttons do the same thing? Just curious. Thanks!
January 22, 200521 yr Hello,This is not an answer but a question : is it not possible to have an option is AS to issue automatically a command to FSUIPC to set minimum and clear weather? To avoid the manual intervention? Thanks in advance. January 22, 200521 yr Hi All,No they don't. Minimum weather defaults sets the options in FSUIPC to a minimum level. The other takes any weather in FS and creates a clear condition.Good suggestion for the future!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
January 23, 200521 yr I could swear that AS is clearing FS weather before refreshing for the first time. Here's the sequence I go through:Load AS (set to offline mode, no refresh on start.)Load FSLoad flightDownload weather for the day of the flightTell AS to refreshAS then shows "Clearing WX"The outside view in FS suddenly clears of all weather.AS sends data to the WX stations. Once done, FS suddenly displays the new weather. (Interesting side effect, if there is precipitation, it starts as soon as the closest WX station is set, but the clouds don't show up until all WX stations are set.)I set the time back one minute to reset AI traffic.Seems to work just fine for me. I haven't bothered clearing the WX in FS for a while now. I did do the "Set WX to minimums" in FSUIPC when I first installed AS.Now if I could just figure out that other problem I'm having. :-)...jim
January 23, 200521 yr Pretty sure the "Clearing Wx" message is in AS only.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
January 23, 200521 yr Hi Jim,Check my message again. :) :) Right after AS shows "Clearing WX", I can see the WX go clear in FS. Any clouds and/or precip dissapear. I don't have to clear the WX in FS. As I also mentioned, this seems to work when AS is started with StartPaused = True. Haven't tried it with StartPaused = False.Regards,...jim
