IPC Request Contains Bad Data

Featured Replies

I am running the latest builds of FSUIPC and AS2004.5. I finished a flight from Perth (YPPH) to Singapore (WSSS) but had some anomolies.First (and this is repeatable) - While processing the route in AS2004.5 at some point (not always the same) my WideFS connection kicks out with an error "IPC REQUST CONTAINS BAD DATA". Then, after a period ranging from a few seconds to a minute or two WideFS reconnects. This causes me a problem with FDC disconnecting. THIS ONLY HAPPENS when processing a route, not before or after. I am doing nothing else in FS when processing either. I noticed along the flight that some reporting stations had the dreaded //// at various points in their METARs.I also had sudden winds shifts (I finally changed FSUIPC to 4 sec per kt) and, at some points I would get rapid altitude changes even though I have the pressure changes set at 1mb over 15 sec. Would the //// issue be an cause of some or all of these? If so, is there a way to pick them out in advance, during processing etc?Reported the Bad Data issue on the FSUIPC forum with nothing being solved.AS2004.5 ini follows below. Thanks for any input.Joe Lorenc//AS2004.5 configuration file B175[General]WindowPosX = -15WindowPosY = 3585DefaultWeatherFolder = C:Program FilesActive Sky 2004ModulesActiveSky2004SuppressionCeiling = 8000SurfaceWindLimit = 10CloudLayerLimit = 5LocalSuppressionRange = 100MinimumVisibility = 0MaximumVisibility = 49IncreasedWake = FalseDisableWindsAloft = FalseForceTstormsWithCB = FalseAutoConvertPlanFiles = TrueDisableVisGraduation = FalseForceDestinationWeatherZone = FalsePreventIcing = FalseOnlineUpdates = TrueExtendedDestinationWindsForce = FalseDisableAllGroundUpdates = FalseGlobalWrites = TrueDepictFS9HazeLayer = TrueExtendTstormLayers = TrueDisableDirectWindControl = FalseVoicePlayback = FalseLocalSuppression = TrueStartupSound = FalseDisableGroundUpdates = FalseUseProxyServer = FalseFogLayerGeneration = TrueUpdateSuppression = TrueOvercastEnhancement = TrueIgnoreFSReadyStatus = FalseFSUIPCWindSmoothing = TrueLimitSurfaceWinds = FalseLimitCloudLayers = TrueAutoGlobalWriteToggle = TrueRainWithTS = TrueDisableUpperLayerGeneration = FalseVisibilitySmoothing = TrueDisableMessages = TrueAutoTimeZoneDetection = TrueUpdateInterval = 20VATSIMData = FalseZuluConversion = -7AloftPredictability = 100WindDriftRate = 0TAFProcessing = TrueEnforceVisibilityLimits = TrueWakeTurb = FalseStartPaused = FalseUseSystemTime = TrueDisableCAVOKClouds = FalseProxyAddress = NONELastPlanFolder = C:Program Filesrcv30flightsJoe Lorenc

Hi Joe,Not sure about the IPC error. I don't know if that is from WideFS or AS.The //// data problem is one that we have worked on for a long time. In some places in the METAR we have it fixed, but in other places we do not. It is caused by missing station data and there is not much we can do about that situation.Except for your Supression Ceiling being set too high your settings are good!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
